Panel HLE1 - "The New Face of TV"
Bernard Gershon (ABC News Digital Media), Greg Gudorf (Digeo), Jason Krikorian (Sling Media), Peter Price (National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences)

Monday's Panel, "New Face of TV," discussed the essential role that Cable will play with regard to Cable Cards, multi-room hi-def solutions to follow, the need for a blend of Cable and IP technology, and the role that television set manufactures will have to play to wrap this up. "The opportunity [for the future of TV] is in Cable right now with Cable Card technology," stated Digeo’s Gudorf.

I look forward to this fantastic week all year for a number of reasons but at the top of the list, at least personally, I most look forward to the Cable Positive events that take place during Diversity Week.

Cable Positive is an extraordinary and unique organization in our industry. Not often in our daily work lives do we have the chance to impact someone's life, health and well being or even help to save lives by attending an industry event.

It's easy to forget in the rush of this busy week how unique and important these events are -- until you arrive at a Cable Positive event.

Cable Positive gives us so many opportunities, especially this week,  to connect with our colleagues with (spectacular) events that help us make our industry become successful ...and at the same time, and most importantly, make a real impact on the world.

Visit cablepositive.org to find the details for the events that take place this week.
